On January 4, 2018, the annual review meeting was held by the Chinese Buddhism Sutra Lecture Exchange Foundation at the Huayan Hall of Lingyin Temple to summarize the work in the year of 2017. Those who attended the meeting included the Director of the Chinese Buddhism Sutra Lecture Exchange Foundation, Chairman of the Buddhist Association of Hangzhou and Abbot of Lingyin Temple Ven. Guangquan, the Director of the Teaching Affairs Division of the Buddhist Association of China and Deputy Director of the Chinese Buddhism Sutra Lecture Exchange Foundation Master Changshun, the Executive Vice-Chairman of the Buddhist Association of Hangzhou Master Yuezhen, the Vice-Chairmans of the Buddhist Association of Hangzhou Master Zhiyuan, Master Jiexing, Master Nianshun, Master Yinxu and Master Weichen, as well as the General-Secretary of the Buddhist Association of Hangzhou Mr. Qian Jianzhong. Master Changshun presided over the meeting.

Ven. Guangquan summarized the work of the foundation in the year of 2017 and introduced the new plans for 2018 at the meeting— 1. to organize a Buddhist English training program to cultivate Buddhist talents for the promotion of Buddhism internationally; 2. to hold seminars in Buddhist sutra lecture exchange to explore new ways of promoting Buddhism; 3. to hold Buddhist sutra lecture tours to promote Buddhism in a deep-going way; 4. to organize sutra lecture training workshops to cultivate young Buddhist talents for the promotion of Buddhism; 5. to organize sutra debates to explore more innovative ways of promoting Buddhism for the benefits of the general public.

At the end of the meeting, all participants summarized and reviewed their work in the previous year and suggested improvements for the plans in 2018. Constructive strategies were proposed for better development of the Chinese Buddhism Sutra Lecture Exchange Foundation and promotion of Chinese Buddhism.
