On March 10, 2018, the Tenth Yunlin Cup Three-player Go Tournament was inaugurated at Lingyin Temple as scheduled in the theme of blessings for the New Year. At the invitation of Lingyin Center for Buddhist and Go Culture, thirty-two teams from across the country and professional go players from Japan and other countries participated in the tournament.

The General Secretary of Zhejiang Weiqi Association Mr. Lu Junhe presided over the opening ceremony of the tournament and the Abbot of Lingyin Temple Venerable Master Guangquan addressed the ceremony on behalf of the organizer. In his speech, Venerable Master Guangquan introduced the significance of establishing Lingyin Center for Buddhist and Go Culture and the major events the center has held. He also expressed warm welcome and his heartfelt appreciation to the players who spared time to participate in the tournament. The two-day go tournament included five rounds of games and came to a joyous conclusion on March 11.
