The Enlightenment Day of Avalokitesvara (Guan Yin Bodhisattva) falls on July 21 (the 19th day of the sixth month in the Lunar Calendar) this year. Buddhist believers from across the country assembled at the Zhizhi Hall of Lingyin Temple to attend the ceremony of refuge in the Triple Gem conducted by the Abbot Venerable Master Guangquan.

The ceremony started at 10:00 a.m. The representatives of the Buddhist believers followed the guidance of the ceremony host and invited Venerable Master Guangquan to conduct the ceremony. Then, Venerable Master Guangquan gave a Dharma talk to the Buddhist believers who came for conversion to elaborate the details and significance of taking refuge in the Triple Gem. He also earnestly encouraged them to study and practice Buddhism diligently, hold dear the Triple Gem so as to be empowered in their daily life and work, and spread Buddhism to people around them so that more people have the chance to benefit from Buddhism.
