Polish director with his team shoots a documentary of LY

On April 13, the well-known Polish director Remigiusz Jakubowski from the production company TELPRESS ATP led his team to Hangzhou to shoot a documentary of Lingyin Temple, one of the ten most renowned ancient temples in China. During his visit, he had an exclusive interview with Ven. Master Guangquan, Abbot of Lingyin Temple. Ven. Guangquan introduced to Mr. Remigiusz Jakubowski and his group the history of the temple, its cultural activities in recent years as well as the fresh outlook of the Sangha. Ven. Guangquan pointed out that Buddhist Dharma plays an important role in addressing issues like famine, conflicts and wars existing in some regions around the world. He also stressed that social harmony and universal accord can be enhanced if everyone practices the Five Precepts and Ten Virtuous Deeds and implements the spirit of cultural altruism.
Last year, Mr. Remigiusz Jakubowski made a documentary about China that was well received by the Polish audience. Now he set foot in China again to shoot part of his documentary series, which aim to explain the relations between "gods and men" under the theme of religions and beliefs of different countries in the world. He chose Lingyin Temple for the site of the documentary to make an in-depth record of the Buddhist life and take Buddhism in Hangzhou as an example to present the inclusiveness of Chinese religions.
